Mivan Restaurant & Cafe

This was a really delicious meal me and my partner had. Brought out a true spirit of Turkish culinary skill. Price was very reasonable for the portions. Love from Singapore!

Initially I thought the 7000+ reviews must mean they are bought reviews, but I was happily wrong. This is a family business which has been going strong since the 1980s. One of the owners is there every night and serves the food to the tables, it was truly an exceptional experience. The servings are quite large so keep that in mind before you fill up on the free entrees. Unfortunately we only found this on the last night. Until next time Turkey.

Great experience food was great had the steak with mushrooms and it was cooked medium and perfect. Both inside and outside seating options. Recommend reserving a table for your party if you are wanting to eat around 7-9pm it got busy fast

For dinner or for lunch Mivan will be always a good choice. I has been only 4 days in Istanbul and I came 2 times here: for the really good food and lovely service. I recommend all of you to have at least a meal here, I promise you will not regret! Really nice place upstairs and also the price for the quality is top. They also speak well English and always try to help tourist with a lot of kindness. A Special thank to Said that has been perfect following all our requests at lunch and dinner. If I’ll be back in Istanbul I’ll return!

Incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the lamb & chicken skewers. Both were amazing, but the chicken was so flavorful and juicy! They served complimentary pita bread with dipping sauces. The waiters and staff were so kind and accommodating :) highly recommend! Great prices too.

Easily the best place in the area and a must-try! The shrimp casserole was incredible—served sizzling hot with perfect seasoning. The chicken skewers were just as great, perfectly seasoned and unbelievably tender. Even the traditional Turkish dumpling dish (name escapes me) was spot on, with the smaller dumplings making each bite even better. Service was outstanding from start to finish, with the owner even sharing some great tips and advice. Highly recommend.

The food was incredibly good, just like we had read in the reviews before coming to the restaurant. There were five of us, including three children, and everyone was super satisfied. The staff was very friendly, and the upstairs seating was perfect, even though it's July. A spectacular place with phenomenal food. I would give it 100 stars if I could. Highly recommended: the crispy chicken, the salmon, the chicken, and the ravioli.

The staff were kind without being pushy, and they seemed to really take pride in their service. The food was fresh and flavorful—especially the [insert your favorite dish if you want, like “lamb shank” or “meze spread”]. Portion sizes were generous, and the pricing felt more than fair given the quality and setting. We ended up staying longer just to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and sip on Turkish tea. The views from the outdoor seating area added to the charm. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind after a long day of sightseeing and feel a bit more local. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a calm, authentic meal experience in a cozy setting.
